Protein Serving Size

Protein requirements vary from person to person depending on factors such as, exercise, stress, immune status. An average adult requires about 0.8-1.0 grams of protein per kilogram of body weight.

To find your daily protein requirement divide your weight by 2.2 to get your weight in kilograms, then multiply that number by 0.8 to get your daily protein requirement in grams.

e.g. A person weighs 130 lb.
130 / 2.2 = 59kg
59 * 0.8 = 47.2
Therefore this 130 lb person requires 47.2 grams of protein per day.

Examples of a serving of Protein include:

- 2 eggs

- 2 1/2 oz of fish, shellfish, poultry, or lean meat (the size of a deck of cards)
